Our Plants are Growing! Ana
Today we were observing the plants in the soil and tomatoes were growing. They were half a cm. The lettuce is also growing . There are five plants. Its COOL! The only plant that is growing in the water is lettuce. I can't wait till everything grows so that I can make a vegetable salad. YUM! It is so cool to observe the plants as they grow each day.

Grant Information
We were very lucky to receive the grant for our project through the La Follette Student Support Foundation. Their grant money allowed us to purchase an Aerogarden and 3 packages of seed pods. The pods we purchased were tomatoes, lettuce, and a package of herbs which includes mint, oregano, dill, basil and chives. We do hope to share our bounty with students and staff when the harvest season begins.

Our Goal - Hydroponic Plants
Hi,
My class has received a grant. With that grant we purchased an Aerogarden with herbs, tomatoes and lettuce as our choice plants. We will be growing these plants in water and comparing them to plants grown in soil to see what happens. We have been studying organics and trying to see if we can grow something without pesticides, herbicides or strong fertilizers.
